Built for the Rear-Court Attack
The Yonex Astrox 88 Play is the most accessible racket in Yonex's celebrated doubles-focused 88 series. It carries the head-heavy weighting and extended frame the 88 line is known for, but pairs them with a forgiving medium flex — so developing players can build a powerful rear-court attack without a pro-level swing.
Key Features
- Head-heavy balance drives momentum into powerful smashes and rear-court clears
- Power-Assist Bumper adds tungsten-infused weight at the frame top for heavier hitting
- Rotational Generator System distributes weight for fast recovery and smooth transitions
- Medium flex shaft keeps power accessible and off-centre hits forgiving
- Energy Boost Cap maximises shaft performance and stability
- Isometric head shape enlarges the sweet spot for consistent contact
- 10 mm longer frame adds reach and leverage on the attack
- Strings up to 28 lbs as your game develops
Best For
Beginner and intermediate doubles players who want to develop an attacking rear-court game. The accessible first step into the Astrox 88 series before the 88S / 88D Game models.
