About Astrox

The Yonex Astrox series is the brand's power line: head-heavy badminton rackets engineered for steep, aggressive attacking play. Extra mass at the top of the frame loads momentum into every smash and clear, so you can finish rallies from the back court. Explore the full Astrox range below.

What is the Yonex Astrox series?

Astrox is Yonex's head-heavy power series, built for players who want to dominate from the rear court with steep, powerful smashes. Its signature Rotational Generator System distributes weight across three points — the top of the frame, the T-joint and the grip end — so the head-heavy balance delivers power without feeling sluggish, and you can transition quickly between attack and defence. Higher-end models use Namd graphite, a flex-and-snap carbon fibre that stores energy through the swing and releases it explosively at impact.

Who should play an Astrox?

Best suited to intermediate and advanced players with consistent swing mechanics who want to add smash power — in singles from the rear court, or in doubles punishing loose returns. If your main frustration is "not enough power," Astrox is your series. Complete beginners may find the head-heavy balance harder to control at first.

Popular models

The range runs from accessible "Play" frames to elite "Pro" models, with the Astrox 88 (doubles), 99 (pure power) and 100 families among the best known.
