Our Commitment to You
At Skippy Sports, we stand behind every product we sell. All Yonex products available in our store are 100% genuine, and factory sealed.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Your purchase from Skippy Sports is fully protected under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Regardless of any manufacturer warranty, you are entitled to a remedy from us if a product:
- Is not of acceptable quality
- Does not match its description
- Is not fit for its intended purpose
- Has a defect that was not disclosed at the time of purchase
These are your statutory consumer guarantees and cannot be excluded.
Skippy Sports Store Warranty
In addition to your ACL rights, we provide the following store warranty on all products:
30-Day Returns — Racquets, Shuttlecocks & Accessories
Return any unused, unopened racquet, shuttlecock, grip or accessory within 30 days of receiving your order for a full refund or exchange — no questions asked. Items must be in their original packaging and resalable condition.
Non-Returnable Items — Wearables
For hygiene reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances:
- Socks
- Ankle support
- Knee support
This applies regardless of whether the item has been worn or opened. If you are unsure about sizing before purchasing any wearable item, please contact us before placing your order and we'll be happy to help.
Faulty or Damaged Goods
If your product arrives faulty or is damaged in transit, contact us immediately with your order number and photos of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you. This applies to all product categories including wearables.
Manufacturing Defects
If a product develops a fault due to a manufacturing defect under normal use conditions, contact us and we will assess the claim and work with you to provide a fair resolution, which may include replacement, repair, or refund depending on the circumstances.
What Is Not Covered
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear
- Broken strings (strings are a consumable item and not covered under warranty)
- Products that have been modified, restrung with non-standard strings, or used outside their recommended tension range
- Products returned outside the 30-day window without prior agreement
- Products purchased from third parties or resellers other than skippysports.com.au
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Email us at hello@skippysports.com.au with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Photos of the product and any visible defect
We aim to respond within one business day. Our team is based in Berwick, VIC and we take every claim seriously.
